2012 was a big year for web series. Some of our favorites returned for addtional seasons with more action, sci-fi and humor, plus we saw a huge slew of new series breaking onto the scene. 1. Squaresville
Adults and teens alike can identify with the angsty, suburb-bored adventures of Esther (Mary Kate Wiles) and Zelda (Kylie Sparks). We’ve enjoying watching the two characters grow up along with the series, and hope to see much more from the Squaresville crew.
2. H+ The Digital Series
“H+” is a medical and cutting-edge implant connecting human brains to the internet, while fueling a series filled with twisting storylines, flashbacks and flashforwards that will make you question “reality”. With 48 episodes and $1 million+ budget, producer Bryan Singer creates a block-buster web series sure to please the most hardcore sci-fi fans.
3. Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee
Jerry Seinfeld, one of the many TV stars making moves to online series, takes his fellow comedic buddies to coffee in a different car each week. Based on the web-series Carpool by actor Robert Llewellyn, Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee is easy-going, funny and sure to please the car aficionados out there as well.
4. Husbands
Smart, sassy and moves around political issues in the right way; Husbands is an A+ comedy. Producers Jane Espenson and Brad “Cheeks” Bell prove well-written and well-produced comedy is not just for TV.
